The funeral for Gertrude M. Overacker, 95, Willow Street, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at her home with the Rev. Beverly Bibbins, pastor of the United Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Miss Overacker died Wednesday evening in Edward John Noble Hospital, Gouverneur, where she had been a patient since Monday.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. today at the family home. Arrangements are with Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
She was was teacher in Scarsdale and Utica schools until her retirement in 1968. Following her retirement, she returned to the family home.
Born May 24, 1902, in Gouverneur, a daughter of Herbert and Alberta Dodds Overacker, she was a graduate of Richville High School and a 1922 graduate of Potsdam Normal School.
She was a member of the United Church of Richville and its Friendship Class and Couples Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, Richville Historical Society, Gouverneur Garden Club, Gouverneur Arts Club and New York State Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are a sister, Nellie Best, Canton, and three nieces, Elaine Strickler, York, Pa., Gretchen Ritchie, Hudson Falls, and Ann Real, Rome, and two cousins.
A brother, Lester D. Overacker, and two sisters, Edna Reese and Mabel Williams, died before her.
Contributions may be made to Richville First Responders or Gouverneur Volunteer Rescue Squad.
