Mrs. Nellie F. Morgan
Mrs. Nellie F. Morgan, widow of Josiah P. Morgan, of 42 Taggart building, died this morning at 5 at St. joachim’s hospital after an illness of about five months, aged 66 years. Mrs. Morgan was taken ill in late November. She was taken to the hospital four weeks ago. The physicians attending her intended to operate, but her condition was such that this was impossible. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
She was born in Brownville, June 1, 1850, daughter of James and Climena Sixbury. She resided in Brownville until about 35 years of age, when she moved to reside in western states. She lived at times in Kansas, New mexico, and California. Her husband, whowas a blacksmith, died in California several years ago. She had resided in this city for the past 14 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, but attended the Bethany Methodist Episcopal church during her residence here.
Besides three children, Mrs. William Sayre, Mrs. Walter Campbell of this city and Ralph P. Morgan of Cleveland Ohio, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Peter Satimore ? of Brownville.
The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Sayre, 642 Leray street, Friday at 2 pm. Rev. Charles T. Holcombe, pastor of Bethany Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Intermentwill be made in the family plot in Brownville Cemetery.
