Mrs.Tierney Rites to be Tomorrow

WATERTOWN — The funeral for Mrs, Alice M. Slxbury Tierney, 45, proprietor of the Crescent Hotel,
Chaumonl, who w a s k i l l e d yesterday morning wh e n her automobile left the Watertown-Chaumont highway,
c r a s h e d Into guard rails and overturned several times, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. from Norlham and Fox
funeral parlors, with burial at Evans Mills.

Mrs. Tlerney was born In Watertown, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. John H. Sixbury. She worked In various department stores In Watertown prior to her marriage to Bernard J.Tlerney on July 4, 1935, at Elmira. This marriage was annuled In Supreme court at Canton on Jan. 9,.1953. They became associated with the Crescent Hotel at Chaumont in September, 1946, buying It the following year. Mrs. Tlerney bought out her husband's Interest In 1952.
She is survived by a brother, Forest E, Slxbury of Potsdam, who is the district game protector.
An Inquest will be held later this week by the district attorney's office. Mrs. Tierney was alone at the time of the accident at 1:30 a.m. and was on her way home.
