MUSIC TEACHER BETROTHED TO W.H. McNARY
Mrs. Harry H. Kasch of Buchanan announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Dorothy Hawkes, to Pvt. Willard Haydn McNary, USA, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. McNary of Leversee road and grandson of Rev. Theodore Haydn, former rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Watervliet, and Mrs. Haydn.
The prospective bride and her fiancé, who have both received bachelor of science degrees in music education at the State University Teachers College at Potsdam, are planning an Easter wedding at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Augusta, Ga.
Miss Hawkes, an alumna of the Hendrick Hudson High School, is an elementary vocal music teacher in the Peekskill public schools. Mr. McNary was graduated from Lansingburg High School and is presently attending the Army Signal Corps radio operator’s school at Camp Gordon, Ga.
