Notes for Riley FRANKLIN
Obit, Jefferson County Journal April 26,. 1916
Riley E. Franklin, son of John and Margaret Franklin, passed away at the home of his daughter, April 21, 1916, aged 59 years, 3 months and 8 days.
Mr. Franklin spent the greater part of his life in Henderson until about one year ago, when he came to Adams to live with his daughter, where he passed away. He was married to Electa Helmer in 1884. His wife died Octover 4, 1889, leaving him with three small children, whom he cared for all alone with tender care until his death.
He leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. L.M. Button of Adams, mrs. Eugene Jackson of Henderson and William Franklin of Adams; three children, John Franklin of Henderson, Mrs. Albert Tanner and Mrs. Roy Greott of Adams, where he died after a long and painful illness.
