ADELBERT HELMER, 78, PASSES AWAY IN CITY
Adelbert Helmer, 78, a native of Sandy Creek who had resided in this city for the past five years died of heart trouble at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Stone, 608 Franklin street, about 9 p.m. Wednesday. He had been ill for two years.
Mr. Helmer was born in Sandy Creek, March 31, 1851, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cortland Helmer. He passed his early life in Sandy Creek and later resided in Henderson and Houndsfield. He was a farmer.
Mr. Helmer is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Stone of this city; and four grandsons, George Stone of Norwood, Willard Stone, Geary Stone and Lyle Stone, all of this city.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home of Mrs. Stone Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. C.N. Eddy, pastor of St. Paul’s Episcopal church, will officiate.
Interment will be made in the North Watertown cemetery.
