Information regarding this family came through research done in Germany by a professional researcher.
A part of his translated message follows:
The wedding-day of the couple Franz FINCK-Catharin BRAYER is Feb 27 1797 at the village of Fouhren. There is a note:He is a widower of Christnach, an other village. The godfather and mother of their children are: Dominique BREYER and Catharin FEYDER for Catharine; Mathias FINK and Anne Marie KIN for Mathias; Nicolas BREYER and Eva LENTZ for Nicolas.
I did not find in the document an other FINK. However I found a family who is maybe a brother of Catharine BREYER: Johan BREYER, son of Dominique and Marguerite DIEDERICH married on Feb 23 1798 at Fouhren Catherine BOLTZ, daughter of Hubert and Marguerite. They got a son Valentin born on March 30 1804 whose godfather were Valentin NOLTER and Susanne DICHTER.
The locality of Christnach in the parish of Waldbillig gives us the first marriage of Frantz: François FINCK, coming from Ayl, parish of Saarburg (Germany), son of Bernard and of Marguerite JOST, married on March 30 1794 at Waldbillig anne Marie WAHL from Christnach, the daughter of Nicolas and Anne RIES.
