Gladys D. GILLILAND, 95, 318 W. Fourth St., Rochester, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at ExtendaCare Nursing Home, Rochester.
She was born June 18, 1903, in Marion to Adolphus and Minnie GOSS WELCH. She spent most of her life in Rochester, where she was a homemaker.
She married Edward K. GILLILAND on Sept 16, 1920, in St. Joseph, Mich. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1972.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and its Senior Bible Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Doris (Robert) SIXBEY, Rochester; a son, James (Betty) GILLILAND, Rochester; four grandchildren, Roger SIXBEY, Orlando, Fla., Michael SIXBEY, Rochester, Jim GILLILAND, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Joyce (David) WOODCOX, Rochester; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary PACKARD, Riverside, Calif.
Also preceding in death were three sisters, Mae ARVEN, Emma BOWERS and Leona MARTIN; and three brothers, Vern [WELCH], Ray [WELCH] and Dee [WELCH].
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Foster and Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Don W. BRENNEMAN officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery, Rochester.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until services Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army or the Manitou Training Center.
