Brooklyn Boys in National Service
Clarence W. McNary, now with the 106th United States Infantry at Camp Wadsworth, Sparianburg, N.C., was born in Brooklyn September 20, 1893. He enlisted with the Fourteenth Regiment April 23, 1917. His grandfather, General William H. McNary, was a member of the same regiment in 1860 and afterward served as a colonel of the 158th New York Volunteers all through the Civil War, first as Leiutenant colonel, then as colonel. He also was born in Brooklyn. Clarence is in the Headquarters Company where he is serving as orderly to the colonel. He is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. McNary of 259 Halsey street.

Valley Stream, Oct 23-Funeral services for Clarence W. McNary, 48, bank executive who died Monday at his home, 20 Avondale St., here will be held at 8 o’clock tonight at the Moore Funeral Home, 54 W. Jamaica Ave.. here. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Pinelawn tomorrow morning.
Mr. McNary was manager of the Broadway office of the East River Savings Bank in Manhattan. He had been associated with the bank since 1924 and became manager of the Rockefeller Center office last January. He was transferred to the Broadway office on April 12.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Marcia McNary, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Case.
