Margaret Varga to be bride August 4 of Geore Sigsbey in church ceremony
Augaust 4 was announced as the date for the wedding of Miss Margaret Varga and George E. Sigsbey when the bride-elext was honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower Thursday evening at the parlors of Magyar Evangelical and Reformed church. Miss Varga is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Stephen Varga of 113 Laura court and her finade;s parents are Mr. And Mrs. Bert G. Sigsbey of LaGrange.
Mrs. Stephen Varga and the Misses Eva and Eleanor Varga were hostesses at the party and approximately 75 guests were present from Elyria, Lorain, Spencer, LaGrange and Brecksville. A desert course was served at tables decorated with garden flowers and aqua and yellow ribbon streamers. After opening the many gifts, the couple disclosed detais regarding the coming marriage.
The ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on August 4 at the Magyar Evangelical and Reformed church. Miss Varga has chosen her sister, Miss Eleanor Varga as her only attendant and Mr. Sigsbey will have his cousin, Richard Twining of Wellington for his best man. Ushers will be Ernest Varga, brother of the bride, Fred Sigsbey, brother of the bridegroom and Elmer Messaros, cousin of the bride.
Miss Varga is a graduate of Elyria hight school and Oberlin School of Commerce and is a member of the Alumni choir. She is employed in the office of Niles Steel Products division of Republic Steel Corporation. Mr. Sigsbey was graduated from LaGrange high school, served three and one-half years with the US Air Force in World War II and is also employed by Niles Steel Products Company.
