ENGINEER McNARY DIES
Arthur Clase McNary, 73, 178 West Main Street, retired Chesapeake and Ohio railway engineer, died of a complication of ailments in the company’s hospital at Clifton Forge, VA, at 2:30 o’clock this morning. Funeral services will be conduted in the chapel of the Hammond-Jackson funeral home on West Main street at 2:o’clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. V. L. Clear, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The body will arrive in Peru of the C&O railway at noon Tuesday and be taken directly to the funeral home, remaining there until the services.
Survivors include the widow, Ella McNary; a son, Rodney McNary, of Peru; four grandchildren and a brother and two sisters, S.L. McNary of Cleveland, O., and Miss Harriett McNary and Miss Carrie McNary, both of Toledo, O.
Born in Ohio on May 29, 1866, the deceased and had lived in Peru for 38 years, having come here from Richmond, VA. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Masonic Lodge and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
