Obituary
John F. McNary
John Frederick McNary, son of John G. and Elizabeth McNary, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 13, at his home, Fifty-eighth street and Thirteenth avenue.
Mr. McNary was stricken with heart trouble while returning from business and fell dead just as he reached the stoop of his home.
He had been ill for about five weeks before his death, but had recovered sufficiently to return to business. He was a native of Brooklyn, where he attended the public schools and had resided most of his life. He was deeply interested in the Presbyterian Church, and upon the organization of the Borough Park Presbyterian Churchhe was ordained a ruling elder. Mr. McNary was a popular and highly respected man both in the community where he resided and in the church where he was an untiring worker. Mr. McNary leaves a wife and two children, Emily and Alice, whose ages are, respectively, 5 years and 2 years. Spencer McNary, a lawyer, and resident of Brooklyn, also survives him. John G. McNary, the father of the deceased, was for many years principal of a public school in the Borough of Manhattan.
