Gouverneur-Mrs. Cora Overacher Mott, 85, widow of Fred Mott and a resident of this village and North Gouverneur for about 78 years, died in the Jeanette convalescent home, Watertown, Mass., where she had been only a few days. She had lived with her son Fred L. Mott since Mr. Mott died.
Mrs. Mott was born in North Gouverneur, daughter of John W. and Deborah Zuller Augsbury Overacher. They lived on a farm for some time in North Gouverneur, the Mr. Mott ran a livery stable in Gouverneur and then joined the late Frank W. Sprague in the undertaking business. Mr. Mott died Jan 27, 1944.
Mrs. Mott was a member of the Gouverneur First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be in the Freeman Funeral Home in E. Main St. tomorrow at 2 pm. The Rev. William C. Wood, pastor of First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
