Deceased Name: Ulster Davis Sickler
MILLERTON - Ulster Davis Sickler, 80, a local resident since 1973 and formerly of Rensselaer, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001 at home. Mr. Sickler worked in building maintenance at the former Trottas Supermarket and worked in maintenance for the New York State Conservation Department. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Born in Alcove on Sept. 30, 1920, he was the son of Percy and Catherine Anna Snyder Sickler. He married Cleata Maurine Beers, who survives in Millerton. Additional survivors include three step-daughters, one stepson, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Valentine Funeral Home, Park Avenue, Millerton. Rev. Henry Prause of North East Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be Spencers Corners Cemetery, Millerton.
