TROY Services will be held Wednesday for Donald D. Seyboth, 73, of Pawling Avenue, who died Saturday in his residence.
Mr. Seyboth was born in Albany. He lived in Troy most of his life.
He was a truck driver for A&P for 32 years. He later drove for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines in Albany for seven years, retiring in 1985.
He was a volunteer for Samaritan Hospital and received awards for his hundreds of hours of service.
Mr. Seyboth was active in Masonic circles, starting with the Mount Zion Lodge 311, where he was former master. He received a grand lodge certificate, Outstanding Service Award, Dedicated Service Award and Meritorius Service Award. In 1986, he was named Mason of the Year.
Mr. Seyboth was former second vice president of the Troy Masonic Temple Association. He was former president of the Troy Fellowcraft Club and former vice president of the Rensselaer-Schenectady Masters and Wardens Association. He was a member of the Phoenix Lodge 58 in Lansingburgh and the Old 17th Lodge.
Mr. Seyboth was past sovereign prince of Scottish Rite Bodies and past president of the Troy Shrine Club and the Oriental Shrine Patrol. He was business manager for the Oriental News.
He was a member of the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Rose A. Casorelli Seyboth; two sons, Donald D. Seyboth Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Robert M. Seyboth of Richmond, Ky.; two sisters, Margaret Witbeck of Latham and Marion Haire of Nevada; and five grandchildren.
The service will be at 11 a.m. in the Bryce Funeral Home, 276 Pawling Ave.
Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
