Obituary
James Canary
James Canary died this morning at 6:30 o’clock at his home, No. 166 Spring street, after a week’s illness of pneumonia and bronchitis, aged 63 years. Mr. Canary is survived by his wife, two sons, William, of Rockford, Ill., Theodore, of this city, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Dersch, of this city, a brother, John Canary, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Feathers of this city, and Mrs. J.W. Van Schaick, of Sharon Springs.
The deceased has been a resident of Amsterdam for the past forty years and was held in high regard by his large acquaintance. He wa a Republican in politics and carpenter by occupation. The funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet but the funeral will probably be held Friday afternoon, the Rev. A.E.Knapp of the First Baptist church officiating.

James Canary’s Funeral
The funeral of James Canary was held at his home, No. 166 Spring street, Friday afternoon, and was largely attended. The Rev. A.E. Knapp of the First Baptist church officiated, and Mrs. Leslie Rulison and Miss Maud Firth sang “Some Sweet Day Bye and Bye”. The bearers were L.A.Serviss, JohnG.Serviss, Stephen Wilde, S. R. Ottman, O.C. Snyder and John Carlson. There was a large collection of floral tributes. The body was taken on the 2:35 o’clock train to Illion, where the interment was made.
