Obituary
William M. Canary
Ilion-William M. Canary, 72, past master of Ilion Lodge 114 F&AM and a resident of this village over 30 years ago, died at Amsterdam Saturday.
He was born in Gloversville and had resided in Ilion for 10 years before moving to Amsterdam and was employed in the gunstock room of Remington Arms.
He has one son, Gilbert, by his first wife, the late Margaret Gilbert Canary, and two sons, Clark and Alson, by his second wife, the former Sidnie Clark.
Funeral services will be conducted in Amsterdam and the body will be brought to Ilion for burial tomorrow afternoon beside his wife. The Masonic committal service will be read at 2 at Armory Hill Cemetery.
