Notes for Susan VAN ALSTYNE

This community was saddened on Monday, Jan. 20, on hearing of the death of our friend and neighbor, Susie Van Alstyne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Van Alstyne. She was 25 years of age and had been in ill health for about five years with stomach trouble. She underwent three operations in that time, having the third operation Jan. 10. It was thought she was on the road to recovery, but her illness developed into pneumonia, causing her death. The heartfelt sympathy of all goes out to her devoted parents, brother and sisters. The funeral was held Thursday at 10 o’clock at the home and at 11 o’clock at the M.E. church of South Bethlehem. Undertaker Babcock of Ravena had charge of the funeral. Following this article was a poem submitted by her Aunt.
