CALLANAN’S CORNERS
On Saturday night the sad news came that Mrs. James Henry Van Alstyne had passed away. Mrs. Van Alstyne had suffered with an abcess and diabetes for some time, but was not onsidered dangerous until Thursday, when she was taken to the Albany hospital. She died Saturday night at 6 o’clock. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the South Bethlehem church, the pastor officiating. Interment was in the South Bethlehem cemetery. The immense number of floral pieces showed the esteem in which she was held. She is survived by her husband, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends.
