CHRISTOPHER OLIVER
Christopher Oliver, aged 55 years, who resided near Voorheesville, died at that Memorial hospital on Saturday, January 19th. Mr. Oliver was taken ill and conveyed to the hospital the day previous where an operation was deemed necessary. Upon operating it was found that nothing could be done to relieve the sufferer and death ensued. Tuneral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at his late home, the Rev. Edgar D. Brown, pastor of the Voorheesville M.E. church officiating. Mr. Oliver had always resided in this neighborhood and was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. John Oliver and was a farmer by occupation. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Hattie Hallenbeck Oliver, three daughters and one son, Mr. Hans Hansen of Albany; Miss Hattie Oliver of Voorheesville; also one grandchild, one sister and three brothers. Mrs. Jacob Wise and George Oliver of Voorheesville; John and Irving of Delmar. Burial was in the Elsmere Cemetery. Funeral director was Frank T. Brunk of Voorheesville.
