Obituary
Andrew Smith
After an illness of nearly four months, Andrew Smith passed away at his home in Altamont on Thursday, July 4th, aged 81 years. The funeral service will be held at his late home on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, New Salem.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews. He was born in the town of New Scotland, near the present residence of Peter G. Ten Eyck, where he resided up to about thirty years ago when he and Mrs. Smith came here in 1900. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church.
