Mrs. Paul L. McNary, 1039 Cambridge rd., prominent worker in local women’s civic organizations, died at 5:20 pm Sunday at City Hospital, where she was admitted Wednesday evening. She was 51.
Edith Julia Brownfield was born at Pittsburgh, PA on Sept 16, 1893, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Brownfield. In early life she joined the Trinity Episcopal church. In 1916 she was married to Paul L. McNary, who survives.
She also leaves two children, Mrs. Vincent Keith of Elkins, W. VA, and Paul Wilfred McNary, serving with the navy in the south Pacific; a sister, Mrs. George Ruddle of Hamilton, Ont. Canada, and a brother, John Brownfield, Binghamton, NY
Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at the residence, 1039 Cambridge rd. Rev. M.S. Kanaga of Trinity Episcopal church and Rev. Sumner E. LaFollette of Grace Methodist church will be in charge. Burial will bein South Lawn cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence after 7pm today.
