Compiled and arranged by William Vanderpoel Hannay, Historian, First Dutch Reformed Church of Albany
"These records were copied from the deacon's Account Books, also from the records kept by the Churchmasters, and Sextons who had charge of the palls, and later the hearse. Some are in folio volumes, others written on loose sheets of various sizes.
One of the regular sources of income of the deacons was that derived from the use of the pall. The entries of the receipt of money for such purposes are very frequent. Many of the entries are without name, but others five either the name of the deceased or of the person who paid for the use of the pall. Theese entries give the approximate dates of death of the person who were buried."
This William is probably the William who sponsored the christening of Maritje,
daughter of Evert and Elsjie Egmont Siksby.
