Wallace Griffith, 71, dies in Iowa
Born Near Gouverneur
Went to Far West When a Youthful Man and Finally Located There Permanently
Gouverneur Sept 16-News was received here Monday of the death in Rodney, Iowa of Wallace Griffith, a former resident of this section. He was 71 years old.
Mr. Griffith was born on the Friffith’s farm home in the Griffiths district, his parents being Mr. And Mrs. William Griffiths. He went into the far west when a young man and acquired property and finally decided upon locating permanently in Iowa. He moved his family there 31 years ago.
Besides the widow, Mrs. Ella Griffith, he leaves two sons and one daughter. The widow was Miss Ella Overacker, daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. John Overacker of North Gouverneur. Two brothers of Gouverneur, John and William Griffiths also survive him. Burial will be in Rodney.
