OBITUARY
MRS. LEROY SMITH
Daisy Stalker Smith, beloved wife of Mr. Leroy Smith, passed to her heavenly home last Thursday afternoon, May 11, at her home in Biddford Maine, where Mr. Smith holds a responsible position with the Woolworth Co. Mrs. Smith with her husband was a member of the ME church and led a most consistent and exemplary Chrisiian life. He blessed influence for good was felt by all with whom she came in contact and her presence will be much missed by her co-laborers in the Master’s vineyard.
Mrs. Smith was born at Middleburg, NY 25 years ago. At the extremely early age of four years she united with the church and from that time led a life of prayer and faith.
Five years ago the deceased was united in marriage to Mr. Leroy Smith. Her married days were ideal and during the last month of her life she experienced the joys of motherhood. The little infant daughter is a precious bond uniting her in still closer ties to the loved ones remaining. Besides a sad-hearted husband and sorrowing parents, she leaves a dear brother, Jerome Stalker, to mourn her early departure. “Her sun is gone down while it was yet day”.
The funeral services over the remains were held Monday afternoon at the residence of her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Enos Stalker, Guilderland Center. The Rev. J.E. Winne had charge of the services assisted by Rev. B.Q. Hallenbeck. A large concourse of mourning relatives and friends were present.
