OGSBURY-SMITH
The home of Mr. And Mrs. Lester Smith of Guilderland Center was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Thursday evening, June 4th, at 8 o’clock when their youngest daughter, Anna Ella, was united in marriage to Lester Ogsbury, son of David E. Ogsbury. The home was prettily decorated in green and white, the ceremony being performed by Rev. E.O. Moffett, the bride’s pastor, under an arch and background of evergreen, daisies, snow ball flowers and iris, and white bell. Mr. And Mrs. August Gries, sister and brother-in-law of the groom were the attendants.
The bride was bery attractively attired in white canton crepe and lace with veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. Mrs. Gries wore pink crepe and carried pink roses.
After congratulations a bountiful luncheon was served at three large tables and five small tables. Table and mantle decorations were peonies and iris; bouquets at bridal table were white carnations and maiden hair fern, gift to the bride by groom’s father. Fifty-five guests were seated at once by the ushers, Mr. Harold Arnold and Mr. Clifford Wormer, who in serving were assisted by their wives and Mrs. Ida Tygert and Mrs. Ida Frederick.
Mr. And Mrs. Ogsbury are both popular young people in the village. The bride is very active in church work being a teacher in Sunday school, president of the Up and Doing organized class and member of the C.E. society and Missionary Auxiliary of the Reformed church.
Mr. And Mrs. Ogsbury left amid a shower of rice and confetti for a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls. They will reside on the farm of D.E. Ogsbury at Guilderland Center.

ANNA OGSBURY IS DEAD AT 80
Anna E. Ogsbury of Guilderland Center (R.D.3, Altamont) died last Thursday, Dec. 8 at her home after a long illness, seven days after celebrating her 80th birthday.
Born Dec. 1, 1903, Mrs. Ogsbury was the first woman employed by the former Voorheesville Army Sub-Depot when it was established in 1941. Beginning as a ticket checker, she was working for the storage operation as a telephone operator when the facility closed in 1965, whereupon she transferred to the main Schenectady depot in Rotterdam until her retirement.
Mrs. Ogsbury was a member of the Helderberg Reformed Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn MacDonald of R.D. 3 Altamont; a son Edwin Ogsbury of Clifton Park; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 10 from Helderberg Reformed Church. Burial was under arrangements by Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
