OVEROCKER-BROWN
Miss Gaynor A. Brown, a daughter of Mrs. John Brown of Roscoe Conkling Park, was married to George F. Overocker, as son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Overocker of Yorkville, Wednesday noon at the home of the bride. The Rev. A.J. Dean performing the ceremony at the bride’s home. A sister of the bride, Miss Grace Brown, and a brother of the bridegroom, Clayton Overocker, were the attending couple.
After a luncheon Mr. and Mrs. Overocker left for a motor trip that will include Buffalo, Niagara Falls and places of interest in Canada. They will make their home in this city where they have many well-wishing friends.
The bride was given pre-nuptial showers by her sister, Miss Mae Brown and Miss Mabel Copeland.

YORKVILLE FIRE CAPTAIN DIES
Yorkville-George Overocker. 58 of 1 Bunker Ave., a tool polisher for the Utica Drop Forge division of the Kelsey Hayes Co., for the past 19 years, died yesterday in his home.
A native of Yorkville, he was the son of Fred and Lettie Farr Overocker and was educated in the Yorkville schools.
He was a Presbyterian and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Overocker served as captain of the Yorkville Fire Dept. for 20 years.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Russell A. (Esther) Ogden and Mrs. W. Howard (Ruth) Sheerin, both of Yorkville; a brother, Edgar, Utica.
The funeral will be at 10:30 Saturday from the Heitz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., with the Rev. Allen Baldwin, pastor of the Yorkville Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Glenside Cemetery, New York Mills.
