SUDDEN DEATH OF SILAS OVERACRE
Silas J. Overacre of Dewitt Centre died suddenly at his nome last night. His death was a great surprise to all, as very few knew that he was ill. He had been absent from his place of business in the village about a week, but was not supposed to be dangerously ill. Mr. Overacre was a prominent man, well known by everybody and much respected by all. He leaves a wife and three children, Mrs. Lester Headson of Dewitt Centre and a daughter and son living at home. For many years he has been one of the leaders in the Republican party of the town of Dewitt, and was well known throughout the county. The funeral will be held Friday morning.

DEATH OF SILAS J. OVERACRE
The death of Silas J. Overacre of Dewitt Centre occurred yesterday morning at his home as the result of Diabetes for which he had suffered for a year.
Mr. Overacre was a Republican in politics and had held the office of Excino Commissioner and Highway Commissioner in his town. He was engaged in farming and the coal business at East Syracuse at the time of his death. He was 44 years of age and leaves a wife and three children. His funeral will be held on Friday morning at 10 o’clock.
