Mrs. John J. Rahn
Mrs. Nora Belknap, 76, wife of the late John J. Rahn, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Dobbina, 401 River St., Oriskany, Tuesday evening, Dec 2, 1940, after a brief illness.
She was born in Osceola, Mar. 1, 1864, a daughter of the late James and Sophia Overocker Belknap. Prior to her marriage to Mr. Rahn, which took place on June 26, 1858, she worked as a weaver in the mills at New York Mills. Mr. Rahn died Oct 12, 1919.
Mrs. Rahn was a member of the Mary Bearean Baptist Church, Marcy Grange #1770 and Utica Chapter 452 OES
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry Dobbins, Oriskany, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
