Mrs. Anna Overacker
Depeyster, Sept 4-On Monday, Aug 19, Mrs. Anna Overacker died at her home after a sickness of only twelve days. On Aug 7th, she was operated on for appendicitis.
Mrs. Overacker was born in this town 33? years ago and she had resided here most of the time, excepting a few years that she lived, after being married, at North Gouverneur. About 5 years ago she returned and bought the place on the East Roda where she resided until her death.
Mrs. Overacker was a member of the grange and Ladies’ Aid society of the Methodist Episcopal church, which attended the funeral in a body. The funeral was held in the Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday, Aug 21. Mrs. Overacker leaves three children, Leon, Guy and Grace, her father and mother, Mr. And Mrs. David Giffin and one brother, Clinton, of this place, also five sisters, mrs. Burt Morrison of Gouverneur, Mrs. Jennie Young of Hammond, Mrs. Winfield ?_oodison of DeKalb Junction, Mrs. M. Newcomb, and Mrs. George Newcomb of this place.
