some of his older parishoners of which Mrs. John Overacker in her 78th year
attended. (Feb 23, 1882)

On Friday last, the funeral services of Mrs. Miriam Overocker were held at her late residence. She dropped dead instantly at the home of her grandson, Cornelius Whiting, at the age of 84. She with her husband John Overocker were among the earliest settlers of Sterling. Mr. Overocker died several years since, leaving Mrs. Overocker the wealthiest person in the town.
