Notes for Thomas HORTON
HORTON, Thomas Utica, Feb. 9.--Thomas J. HORTON, the oldest butcher in Utica, died yesterday in his 92nd year. He was born near Poughkeepsie and came to Utica when he was 25. He learned the butcher business and conducted it here for many years. His memory was good and he could relate many interesting reminiscences of Utica's early days. His wife died in 1889. They had no children, but brought up Thomas H. OVEROCKER, a nephew of Mrs. HORTON
