Descendant of Capt. Gershom Pope. Daughter of Howard Overacker and Deborah Monroe, his wife. Granddaughter of Hassan Monroe and Olive Nash, his wife. Gr-granddaughter of William Monroe and Deborah Pope, his wife. Gr-gr-granddaughter of Gershom Pope and Hannah Smith, his wife. Gershom Pope (1743-1810) served in the northern army under Arnold and Gates and rose to the rank of captain. He was born in Sandwich, Mass., removed to Plainfield, Conn., and, 1779, to Vermont. He died in Burlington, N. Y.

MARRIES LADY DOCTOR
A marriage license has been issued to T. H. Palache, a former citizen of this county, and Miss Kate Overacker of Centerville, Alameda County, where the marriage will take place this evening.
Mr. Palache is the son of Gilbert Palache, one of the leading insurance and business men in California, and is associated with his father, and formerly lived at Gilroy.
Miss Overacker has been a practicing physician with offices in San Francisco, until a few days ago when she bid adieu to her profession to become a wife.
