He appld. 5 Apr. 1855, age 64 from Fishkill, Duchess Co., N.Y.; he enl. 17 Aug.1814 for 8 mos.; served as 1st Cpl under Capt. Henry Haight; Col. Berrian’s Regt., as Lt. Inf. He was dischg.. 22 Nov. 1814; was about age 24; fair complexion; black eyes and hair.
Susan McNary, was ag 80, appld. 1 Nov 1878, from Delafield, Waultosha Co., Wis.’ Her husb. D. 17 Mar. 1863 or ‘64’ was m. to him 1 Mar. 1811 by Rev. Daniel Crain, at Fishkill, N.Y.; maiden name was Susan Carey.
Emily McNary, of Delafield, Wis., witnessed the above decl. Cornelius McNary, of same place, age 47, 1 Nov. 1873, decl. that he was a s. of Joseph and Susan Carey McNary, who had 12 ch.

This indenture made of first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three between Thomas CARY and Polly his wife, John ROWLIN and Patty his wife, Samuel LADUE and Polly his wife, Mathew CARY, Jesse CARY and Philina his wife, Stephen DOTY and Mary his wife, Gabriel SMITH and Phebe his wife, Joseph McNARY and Susan his wife, Joseph CARY and Elizabeth his wife, William CARY of the first part and John CARY of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said parties of the first part therewith fully satisfied contented and paid hath remised released and quit claimed and by these presents doth remise release and quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All that piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Town of Fishkill in the County of Dutchess formerly the property of Joseph CARY deceased and now in the possession of John Cary the Vendee.
