SCHENECTADY -- John E. Bushey Sr., 62, died Sunday at Albany Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. Born and educated in Albany, Mr. Bushey was employed by Firestone Tires in Latham. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 1683 Gerald O'Neil of Rensselaer, NY. Husband of Gail B. McCoy Bushey; father of John E. Bushey Jr. and his wife, Linda of Latham, Mrs. Chuck (Dawn M.) Giaimo of Schenectady and Michelle Bushey of Schenectady; and three sisters, Shirley Alcombright, Delores Humphrey and Diane Marshall. Also survived by five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Friday, 8:00 a.m. from the N. Rossi & Sons Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Sts., thence to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Union St., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 o'clock. Interment will follow in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made, in John's memory, to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the American Cancer Society Memorial Fund, 1450 Western Ave., Room 101, Albany, NY 12203.
