Notes for Sophia Lamb LEMM
Source: 1850 Census for Florence, Erie Co., Ohio. Elizabeth enumerated with
Christopher Shafer, her son.
Sophia is buried next to Lambert Shafer, Sr. in some woods, on a knoll
overlooking the Vermilion River.
Her headstone inscription reads:
Corruption, earth and worms
Shall but refine this flesh
Until triumphant spirit
Comes to put on fresh.
Sophia Wife of Lambert Shafer, Jr.
& dau of Christopher Lamb died Aug 21, 1825 AE 51
