Mrs. Willard A. Barnes
Cleveland-Mrs. Fanny Morenus Barnes, 68, wife of Willard A. Barnes, died at 12:30 am Tuesday at her home on Center street after a short illness. She suffered a sroke several days ago.
Born in Redwood, mrs. Barnes was a daughter of Moses and Louisa Sixbery. She was twice married, her first husband, the late Walter M. Morenus, dying several years ago. She married Willard A. Barnes in July 1941.
Besides Mr. Barnes, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Owen Varden of East Rutherford, NJ, and Mrs. Muriel Mosher of Fish Creek, a sister, Edith Evans of Syracuse; a brother Oscar Sixbery of Durhamville, and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of St. James’ Episcopal church and was active in its societies. She was affiliated with Cleveland Chapter, O.F.S. She and her husband operated a store at their residence the last several years.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the home by the Rev. George H. Mac Nish. Burial will be in Lakewood cemetery.
