RESIDENTS ARE CUT OFF FROM OUTSIDE AID BY WORST BLIZZARD SINCE ‘88

UPSTATE IS CRIPPLED (A DESCRIPTION OF THE DAMAGE AND THE TOWNS AFFECTED)
The death toll had reached six in the upstate area tonight, as the howling gale raged unabated. Highway traffic was paralyzed. Among the thousands of motor vehicles tied up in drifts were snow plows in many places.
Three deaths were added since noon to the previous list upstate. .. Other casualties were Mrs. Sarah Richards Sixby, 58, who succumbed to a heart attack after battling the storm to reach her job in Jamestown.

Sixbey Will is Admitted To Probate at Mayville
March 9-
On the petition of Carl H. Sixbey, husband, the will of Sara B. Sixbey of Mayville was admitted to probabe in Surrogate’s court here Monday with Judge Lee Ottaway presiding.
The will named Mr. Sixbey as executor, Frank Militello was appointed special guardian for Samuel R. Sixbey, an infant.
The petition showed the estimated value of real property to be $2,500 and personal property at least $1,500. Beneficiaries are the husband and following children: Marianna S. Blowat of Silver Creek, Herman Sixbey of Mayville, Carlton B. Sixbey of Bayville, Long Island. Marietta S. Nesman of Jamestown, Clair E. Sixbey and Samuel R. Sixbey of Mayville.
