SIGSBY FRIEND - LOTTA - PARKS 25 SEP 1878

Shortly after 1880, Friend left Lottie and took their daughter with him to Tennessee. In 1885, he married Sarah Birdsong, but he failed to divorce Lottie. Friend and Sarah returned to Clay Co., Arkansas and accumulated a fair amount of property, upon his death, that property was all awarded to Lottie Parks Sigsby. Sarah and her children by Friend were left with nothing.

Michigan (Source: Early Michigan marriages, transcribed.). She was born 1864 in New York. He married (2) Sarah Frances Birdsong 6 September 1885 in Crockett Co., Tenn (Source: Records Transcribed, Us Genweb Archives.). She was born Abt. 1862, and died 8 December 1945 in Rector, Clay Co., Arkansas.

Obituary for Sarah:
"Sarah Frances(Birdsong) Sigsby, 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Grace Ellison in south Rector, Saturday Evening, Dec 8 1945, after a long illness, which had confined her her to bed for many years.
Besides Mrs. Ellison, she leaves another daughter, Mrs Myrtle Ruelett of Hot springs, and a son L.B. Sigsby of rector, 10 grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Sigsby had lived in rector practically her whole life.
Funeral Services at Mitchell Funeral Home, Dec 10, services by Rev. A. M Sanford, Pastor of the 4th Methodist church.
