ADMIRAL SIGSBEE’S SISTER BURIED IN OTEGO
The body of Mrs. Jennie A. Smith was brought to Otego on Thursday of last week and buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was a daughter of Nicholas Sigsbee and a sister of Admiral Sigsbee of the ill-starred battleship “Maine.”
For many years she had lived in Otego, until about seven years ago her daughter secured a situation as teacher at Bay Shore, L.I., and had lived there as stated. Her two daughters, Augusta and Bessie, accompanied the bier and after the burial remained a few days with friends.
