July 18, 1928 Alexander Haddow formerly of Lebanon, and a Lebanon High School basket ball star, was killed in an explosion at the Inland Steel Company plant, Masselon, Ohio, where he was employed.
Congradulated James Haddow, Sr., of Cleona, former city resident and formerly employed at North Lebanon furnaces, is receiving the felicitations in honor of his 75th birthday anniversary. Mr. Haddow resides with his daughter, Mrs. Charles Sigsbee and son, at Cleona, where he spent the day quietly. He received a number of cards with birthday greetings from Lebanon, Rutherford, N.J., New York and from other points. Aside from his daughter, he has two sons, John, of Rutherford, N.J., and James, Jr., of Colebrook.
