DR. GEORGE O. KNAPP DIES’ DENTIST FOR 52 YEARS
Dr. George O. Knapp, 85 of 150 Oakwood Ave., a Troy dentist more than 50 years died early last night at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Taunton, Mass., Dr. Knapp began practice in Troy 52 years ago, retiring in 1938. He maintained offices at 41 4th St.
Dr. Knapp wa a life member of the American Dental Society and a member of the Third Division Dental Society.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary McNary, and three sisters, Mrs. James Minikin of Randolph, Mass., and Mrs. Annie Todd and Mrs. Nellie Baker of Ringham?, Mass.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from Morris & Stebbins Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick St., and 10 a.m. from Grace Episcopal Church, Waterford, with Rev. Leland Harrison, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
