MCNARY
Isaac McNary was born July 24, 1832, in Fishkill, NEW YORK He married Louisa Fate of New Jersey. To this union were born eleven children; four died in infancy, and seven lived to adulthood. Isaac and Louisa moved to Coshocton, Ohio, in 1873. Isaac was nearly 98 years old when he died in 1930.
Shortly after arriving in Coshocton, Isaac built the first artificial gas plant. and operated it for fifteen years. His son, John McNary, then took over the operation of the plant for twenty years. Isaac and another son, Charles McNary, went into business as well drillers, and later, were in the plumbing business.

Isaac McNary aged 97, one of the oldest settlers in this couny died at the home of his son, John McNary, Cambridge road today at noon from infirmities of age.
Mr. McNary was in charge of the first artificial gas plant in this city. It was located on North Fourth St. and was controlled by Triplett & Barney. This plant furnished light for the first gas lights installed in this city. Mr. McNary came to this city 56 years ago to take cahrge of that plant.
After retiring from the gas plant Mr.McNary was engaged in the plumbing business in this city for 47 years with his two sons, John, Cambridge road and Charles, who died several years ago.
Mr. McNary was born at Fishkill, Dutchess County, NY July 22, 1832. He was married to Louisa Fate of New Jersey,who preceded him to the grave 27 years ago.
For the past several years Mr. McNary has been affiliated with Grace M.E. Church.
Four children, John, Miss Eva McNary, Mrs. Joseph Swigert, all of this city, and Mrs. Ella Juhr of Uhrichsville, survive.
Mr. McNary had a brother, Cornelius McNary of Wisconsin, who lived to be 99 years of age. His death occurred nine years ago.
No funeral arrangements had been made late today.
