CLARENCE I. McNARY RITES TO BE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Services to Be Held at Chapel; interment at Memorial Park
Funeral services for Clarence I. McNary, 44 of 403 8ty S.E. who died suddenly while visiting at Garden Grove, Iowa, will be held at the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roy C. Heifenstein, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating.
Mr. McNary was born May 1, 1903, at Ionia, Iowa, the son of Francis A. and Elizabeth Strong McNary. When he was 13 years of age he moved with his family to Mason City and had continued to make this his home for the past 31 years.
He had been a machinist that the Lehigh Portland Cement plant for the past 25 years and was appointed machine shop foreman Sept 1, 1946. He was a member of the First Congregational church and the Chamber of Commerce.
On Oct 21, 1939, he was married to Isabel M. Culver at Albert Lee, Minn. Surviving are his wife, 2 brothers, Edward E. McNary, Mason City, and George W. McNary, Lake City, Minn., 3 sisters, Mrs. Frank Hunt, Marshalltown, and Mrs. J. W. Cook and Mrs. J. M. Port, both of Mason City and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank McNary of Ionia in 1897.
Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery. The McAuley and Son funeral home in charge.
